This Easy Sheet Pan Salmon with Lemon Herb Butter is a quick and delicious weeknight dinner that comes together in just 30 minutes. With simple ingredients and minimal cleanup, it’s perfect for busy nights when you want a restaurant-quality meal without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed (or 2 cups broccoli florets)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices and fresh dill sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, and parsley. Mash together with a fork until well combined.
  3. Wash and trim the asparagus (or cut broccoli into uniform florets). Toss vegetables on a large baking sheet with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread in a single layer.
  4. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place skin-side down on the baking sheet among the vegetables. Season tops with salt and pepper.
  5. Divide the lemon herb butter evenly among the salmon fillets, placing a generous pat on top of each.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on thickness. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and internal temperature reaches 145Β°F (63Β°C). Vegetables should be tender and slightly browned.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh dill sprigs if desired. Serve directly from the sheet pan.

Notes

For best results, let salmon sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before baking. If vegetables are still crunchy after salmon is done, remove salmon and return vegetables to oven for 3-5 minutes. Double the butter sauce for extra to drizzle over rice or bread.
