This Easy Halloween Popcorn Mix with Candy Corn and Pretzels is the perfect balance of salty, crunchy, and sweet. It’s a quick and simple treat that disappears at parties and is requested every October.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups plain popped popcorn (air-popped or plain microwave popcorn)
  • 2 cups mini pretzel twists
  • 1 ½ cups candy corn (divided: 1 cup for mixing, ½ cup for topping)
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
  • ¼ cup orange candy melts (optional, for drizzling)
  • 2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles
  • ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Pop 8 cups of popcorn. Spread on the baking sheet and remove any unpopped kernels.
  3. Sprinkle 2 cups of mini pretzels and 1 cup of candy corn over the popcorn. Gently toss to distribute evenly. Reserve the remaining ½ cup of candy corn.
  4. Place white chocolate melting wafers in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until completely smooth (about 2 minutes total).
  5. Pour melted white chocolate over the popcorn mixture. Fold gently with a spatula until evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the coated mixture back onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer. While still wet, sprinkle the reserved ½ cup of candy corn over the top, pressing gently to stick.
  7. If using, melt orange candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals. Transfer to a small piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped off. Drizzle over the popcorn mix in a zigzag pattern.
  8. While the drizzle is still wet, scatter Halloween sprinkles over everything. Finish with a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
  9. Let the popcorn mix sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm. For faster setting, refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  10. Once set, break the mixture into clusters.

Notes

Don’t overheat the white chocolate; microwave in 30-second bursts and stir well. Use room-temperature candy corn for best texture. Don’t skip the flaky sea salt—it balances the sweetness. Let the mix set completely before breaking into clusters. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free pretzels.
