Easy Candy Corn Fruit Skewers - featured image

These Easy Candy Corn Fruit Skewers are a fun, healthy Halloween treat that looks just like candy corn. Made with fresh pineapple, banana, and clementine, they come together in under 15 minutes and are perfect for parties, school treats, or a festive snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 medium fresh pineapple, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
  • 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 4 clementines (or small oranges), peeled and segmented
  • 1215 wooden skewers (about 6 inches long)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon lemon juice (to prevent banana browning)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Pineapple: Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin in strips. Remove the brown ‘eyes’ with the tip of a knife. Cut the pineapple in half lengthwise, then into quarters. Cut out the tough core from each quarter. Slice the pineapple into 1/2-inch thick chunks, about 1 inch wide.
  2. Slice the Bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Aim for consistent thickness. If prepping ahead, toss the banana slices in lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Segment the Clementines: Peel the clementines and separate into individual segments. Remove as much white pith as possible. If segments are too large, cut them in half lengthwise.
  4. Assemble the Skewers: Take a wooden skewer and start with a pineapple chunk, pushing it down to about an inch from the bottom. Add a banana slice on top of the pineapple. Top with a clementine segment. Repeat with remaining skewers to make 12-15 skewers.
  5. Arrange and Serve: Place the finished skewers on a platter or stand them upright in a jar. Serve immediately or within 2-3 hours for best freshness.

Notes

For best results, use fresh fruit and slice uniformly. If prepping ahead, toss banana slices in lemon juice to prevent browning. For a festive touch, drizzle with melted white chocolate. To freeze, assemble skewers on a baking sheet, freeze for 1 hour, then transfer to a freezer bag for up to 1 month. Thaw in the fridge before serving.
