This easy candy corn bark with white chocolate is a quick, no-bake fall treat that comes together in minutes. Perfect for Halloween parties, fall movie nights, or any time you need a festive, crowd-pleasing dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces (340 grams) white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 Β½ cups (about 225 grams) candy corn
  • ΒΌ cup crushed pretzels (optional)
  • ΒΌ cup chopped peanuts (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a standard baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, letting the paper extend slightly over the edges for easy removal.
  2. Place 12 ounces of white chocolate chips or melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until mostly melted. Stir until completely smooth. If using, stir in 1 teaspoon of coconut oil for extra shine.
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate onto the center of the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer about ΒΌ-inch thick.
  4. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle 1 Β½ cups of candy corn evenly over the surface. Press each piece gently into the chocolate. Add any optional toppings (pretzels, peanuts, sea salt) now.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is completely firm and set.
  6. Once firm, lift the parchment paper to remove the bark from the baking sheet. Place on a cutting board and break into irregular pieces with your hands.
  7. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality white chocolate that contains cocoa butter. Avoid overheating the chocolate; microwave at 50% power in short intervals. If the chocolate seizes, stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil. The bark tastes even better after a day or two as flavors meld.
