A quick and easy creamy whipped feta dip blended with honey roasted peppers, perfect for parties and casual get-togethers. This dip combines salty, sweet, and tangy flavors with a silky smooth texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz block feta cheese (about 225 g), preferably brined
  • 4 oz softened cream cheese (about 115 g)
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • Β½ cup honey roasted peppers (about 120 ml), jarred or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: finely chopped fresh herbs like thyme or oregano

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients (5 minutes): Soften feta slightly, mince garlic, chop herbs if using, and drain honey roasted peppers, reserving some honey and oil for drizzling if desired.
  2. Whip the Feta and Cream Cheese (5 minutes): Place feta and cream cheese in a food processor. Pulse to break down, then process until smooth and whipped, about 1-2 minutes, scraping sides as needed.
  3. Add Greek Yogurt, Olive Oil, and Lemon (2 minutes): Add Greek yogurt, olive oil, and lemon juice to the whipped cheese. Blend until fully combined and silky.
  4. Incorporate Garlic and Black Pepper (1 minute): Add minced garlic and black pepper. Pulse a few times to mix without over-processing.
  5. Fold in Honey Roasted Peppers (2 minutes): Transfer mixture to a bowl and gently fold in chopped honey roasted peppers, reserving some for garnish if desired.
  6. Final Touches and Taste Test (2 minutes): Adjust seasoning with more black pepper, honey, or lemon juice to taste.
  7. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate dip for 15-20 minutes to let flavors meld. Serve with warm pita bread, crunchy veggies, or crusty bread.

Notes

If feta is very salty, soak in cold water for 10 minutes before blending and drain well. Use a food processor for best texture or a hand mixer with patience. For dairy-free option, substitute cream cheese with dairy-free alternative and Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt. The dip tastes better after chilling for at least 30 minutes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
