A simple, pretty, and fuss-free heart-shaped charcuterie board perfect for Galentine’s Day or any low-key celebration. Combines a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts, and accompaniments arranged beautifully to impress with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • Brie cheese, whole wheel
  • Aged cheddar, sliced or cubed
  • Goat cheese log, plain or herbed
  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • Soppressata or salami, sliced
  • Red grapes, washed and separated
  • Strawberries, halved
  • Fig halves or dried figs (optional)
  • Marcona almonds or roasted pecans
  • Olives, mixed varieties
  • Honey or fig jam
  • Whole grain mustard
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme
  • French baguette slices, toasted
  • Assorted crackers

Instructions

  1. Gather and prep ingredients (10 minutes): Wash and dry fresh fruits like grapes and strawberries. Slice strawberries in half and separate grapes into small clusters. Cut cheeses into bite-sized pieces or slices, and unwrap meats so they’re ready to layer.
  2. Toast bread and arrange crackers (5 minutes): Slice a baguette into thin rounds and toast until lightly golden. Arrange crackers in small piles on the board, leaving room for other items.
  3. Place cheeses strategically (5 minutes): Set the largest cheese items first—for this board, the brie wheel goes center stage near the heart’s curve. Scatter cheddar slices and goat cheese logs around it, balancing the visual weight.
  4. Add meats with flair (5 minutes): Fold prosciutto slices loosely to create volume and tuck them near cheeses. Roll or fan salami slices to add texture and interest, placing them opposite to the prosciutto to balance the board.
  5. Fill in with fruits and nuts (5 minutes): Nestle clusters of grapes and strawberry halves in gaps, interspersing nuts for crunch. Use small bowls for olives and spreads, positioning them near the edges for easy access.
  6. Garnish and final touches (5 minutes): Drizzle honey or fig jam over brie or add dollops on the side. Sprinkle fresh herbs like rosemary sprigs for aroma and color. Add toothpicks or small forks for serving.

Notes

Remove cheeses from the fridge 20-30 minutes before serving to enhance flavor and texture. Assemble the board shortly before serving to keep fruits fresh and crackers crisp. Cover loosely with plastic wrap if assembling early. Use gluten-free crackers or dairy-free cheeses to accommodate dietary restrictions. Step back occasionally while arranging to maintain a balanced and organic heart shape.
