A quick and creamy guacamole recipe using just three simple ingredients—ripe avocados, fresh lime juice, and sea salt—perfect for parties and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium ripe avocados (about 300g or 10.5 oz total)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 30 ml)
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half lengthwise, twist to separate the halves, and remove the pit carefully. Scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Using a fork or potato masher, gently mash the avocado until creamy but still slightly textured.
  3. Pour 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice over the mashed avocado to add flavor and prevent browning.
  4. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of sea salt evenly over the mixture. Stir gently to combine all ingredients. Taste and add more salt if needed.
  5. Give the guacamole one last gentle stir. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately with tortilla chips, veggies, or as a topping.

Notes

Use ripe avocados that yield slightly to gentle pressure but are not mushy. Mash gently to keep creamy texture without becoming watery. Fresh lime juice is preferred for best flavor and to prevent browning. Cover guacamole tightly with plastic wrap pressed onto the surface if storing to minimize oxidation. Best enjoyed fresh within 24 hours. Avoid adding tomatoes or onions to maintain creamy texture.
